Q. How can I preview the app before buying?

A. Visit www.totalcontrolapp.com and look for videos under the ‘Manuals & Videos’ section for this application. We will also make a video of the application connecting to your camera so you can see how it would look for you specifically. see www.totalcontrolapp.com for details. Free demo trial versions on other cellular interfaces.

Q. How can I tell if my hardware is supported?

A. Visit www.totalcontrolapp.com and look for the compatibility list under the product & support sections. If your hardware is not on the list please let us know via the Contact Us section of www.totalcontrolapp.com and we will assist in adding support for it.

Q. What are the requirements for this application?

A. Iphone and/or Ipod Touch along with a supported ip camera and/or video encoder. Both pieces of hardware must have a tcp/ip connection between them in order to function. Typically this is in the form of Wifi or Cellular Network.

Q. Can I access my video stream remotely?

A. Yes. The camera supports a connection either via ip address or domain name/url. It also supports basic authentication.

Q. Is my video stream going through a 3rd party server?

A. NO. The stream is a direct connection between the application and the ip camera/video encoder. We do NOT believe in pushing your private video streams through a 3rd party server nor do you need a computer client running to view your hardware. The application is not designed for that.

UPDATE 2/24/2001
I want potential users to know that since purchasing Total Control, I have tried NUMEROUS other competitive iphone surveillance applications and by far, Total Control was superior. It works GREAT on 3G network as well, I see some made comment that it dis not.

I know this is not the best forum to place a request to the developer, but I'm getting ready to purchase your 64 channel app, and it would be really nice if the Total Control Applications had the ability to use the "presets" within a PTZ camera so one could quickly move to a specific view. Audio capability would be nice too for cameras that have this feature such as the Axis cameras.

They implemented one of my suggestions regarding the picture format issue, see first review below. I use a Nuvico recorder and the picture format is condensed, it's now fixed with this new release. Thanks guys...I increase my rating to four stars!

I like the concept of this app, but it would be nice if the video picture would format to the iPhone screen as they show in their marketing display, but rather the picture is "long and narrow". Also would be nice to have a "global setup" feature so one would not be required to setup each channel unless they wanted the same. I would rate this a "3" until they make modifications to the same.
